Pandemic 2020: Seattle Shut DOWN

Hello my loves,

I know these last 2-3 months have been super crazy for us ALL. The virus, the pandemic, the rona…. whatever you want to call it. It has affected EVERYONE on this planet, it’s not just one person or one place. We are all in this together and I think the things we are learning about ourselves, our countries, and our world during such a time of crisis is VERY important. We can see all the shortcomings of ourselves as well as the world around us.

I know for us American’s we are seeing EVEN more of how much of a divided country we are. We are all seeing how the capital and money-driven society that we have been living in just doesn’t work for the “average person.” All of the cracks are coming to the surface. We are still BALLS deep in this pandemic, we don’t really see an “out” anytime soon. As we keep making it through this time I do hope that when we come out that there will be some LEGIT changes to the way out country is RUN. HEALTHCARE is UNIVERSAL! EDUCATION shouldn’t put people in DEBT. Our country should not be run by a CHEETO who wants to run away from the press when the HARD questions are asked.

During this time I have taken the time to observe, capture and reflect on the situation as well as what I can do for myself to have a better life then what has been offered these last 100+ years by this “American Society”.

This series of photos is really like a stream of consciousness, I just felt like I had to take these photos. I started taking them around March 9th after being "on hold” for my restaurant job. So that may have been were the drive came from, I felt it was unfair to me and all the other local restaurants as we were effected 1st. Then started thinking about all the other small and local shops, small businesses, freelance, sex workers, low income and homeless etc as those are the people most affected bu CORONA.

I was also working for a local clothing store as their in house product photographer but that has come to a standstill as well. So I’m back to making and creating on my own time and dime. Which is what I want to do FULL TIME. As of now, it is the middle of May and I have over 60+ photos collected that I will show a bunch here and the rest/all of them will be in my Level 1 Patron “Creative Blog” as well as I will put 10 of my FAVS in the “creative” dropbox folder to download. 2$ gets you access and your support means I can keep exploring and creating freely! I wouldn’t have to go back to working for others, to depending on a broken circle that is capital America. I would be working for myself and you would get to enjoy ALL the art I create!

*Otherwise to support beyond patron…. You can book me for shoots or creative services, You can buy prints from my Art Shop or you can share my Instagram, like +subcribe to Youtube. Help get my art out in the world.

My day job is working as a product photographer for a local small clothing store in Seattle,WA. The Store happens to be 2 blocks from Pike Place Market which is were I would go for lunch and I slow started to see the change in the city in regards to this Pandemic. I started shooting these photos March 15th 2020.

Leaving work I then walk to the middle of downtown Seattle so that I can catch a bus to go home. All VERY PUBLIC PLACES… that have been empty for the last 2-3 months.

Then I ride a PUBLIC bus home, to the UW area which is were the University of Washington is and should be FULL of Students…

We are in this together!
